You're listening to B two B tech talk with Ingram Micro, the place to learn about new technology and technological advances before they become mainstream. This is the Cisco Edition. Taking Your Business, I'll level up. Let's get into it. Welcome to B two B tech talk with Ingram micro. I'm your host, Shelby Skirt Hawk, and our guest today for Michelle Edmonds, senior Vendor Business Manager, and Colin Rowan Program Manager, both with the Cisco team at Ingram Micro. Michelle and Colin, welcome, thank you, thank you, thanks for having us well. So today we are talking about Ingram Micro's new Cisco enablement program called voyage. So first off, Michelle, if you'll help me kind of set the scene for what we're talking about. I mean this is this is a program for Cisco resellers to to really help them understand and...

...maximize all of the Cisco Solutions. But are their parameters around which customers of Ingram micro can use or enroll in this program? Yeah, so first shelby, thank you so much for having Colin and I on today. So we're really, really excited to be here and to talk about the voyage program because it really is a game changer for all of our Ingram micro and Cisco partners. I've been with Ingram for eighteen years now. Colin's right behind me, and in talking with partners throughout the years, the challenge that they were facing is that they really wanted to grow their Cisco practice and there was literally hundreds of pages of information within Cisco and the Ingram websites that gave them different ways that they could go about their journey, but really there was no syccinct or clear, concise way to do so. So what voyage did was it's it boiled it all down for them and really took all of the best practices,...

...all of the Great Road maps that we had available for partners and put it into website that allowed them to get more of a granular approach and follow more of a step by step approach to their enablement and it's really easy for them to follow, it's easy for them to consume. So that's where it really came from and that was the goal of the program. Well, so, Michelle, if, if you, if you would tell us how it works? I mean, I guess, will you give us an overview? Yeah, so the voyage program is really simple and that's what we wanted to keep it for our partners, because they all have so much going on they don't have time to to search all of the websites for specific information. So what we did is partners will first go to www dot partner voyage dot com and that brings them to a landing page. The landing page gives them an overview of the overall program. It'll explain what they can expect to find within voyage.

It then it also gives them Um that first taste of how the program works because within that first landing page they jump right into what we call the foundation's voyage and when the partners followed the steps within the foundations voyage, they start down the path of just understanding the overall why Cisco Message. So you know, why is Cisco the number one vendor for, you know, networking and security and collaboration and data center. But then it also gives them some information about the many value ads and offerings that are Cisco dedicated at Ingram Micro. It talks about different offerings that we have at Ingram to help them seamlessly transact CISCO. But then from there, as they scrolled down through the landing page, that's where they start their partners specific journey within any of the architectures that they choose. Well also, Colin, what are some of the frequently asked questions the Faqus that you get about Cisco Solutions? So questions that might seem pretty simple to everybody, right. So a partner right might reach out...

...to me and ask me what a solution is, such as Cisco Umbrella. It might be a very easy question to answer to some, but for others you'd like Michelle answered before. There's so many different pieces of collateral with regards CR CISCO PRODUCTS and solutions on different websites. It's hard to keep track of what's right what's wrong. Should I click this website? Shouldn't I click this website? Partners might be reaching out to me just looking for a demo of a solution, right. So they want that trusted website to go to. Some of the other different epic ques that we typically get are around promotions. So Cisco is very famous for having a ton of different promotions, which is great, but it's extremely tough for customers to keep track of, right. So that's something that we found very important integral to keep on this website and update that on a quarterly basis. Aside from General Solution Questions, if we even take a step back, some of the more common questions that myself and the team consistently get on a day to day basis could be something as simple as how do I become a Cisco registered partner? Or Hey, I am a registered part or how do I apply for pricing or how do I build...

...a specific deal within Cisco's tool? So those are some of the questions that we got together as a team to make sure that we had collateral on this website for yeah, and that's really smart to be able to provide this resource that partners can understand because, yeah, if there's a lot of material to go through, probably the the end result is that none of it will get reviewed. So so providing this streamline process makes a lot of sense. Absolutely. Also, I guess, diving into more of the specifics than Colin. What are some of the architectures? Are The topics that are available in voyage? So the voyage program actually covers every specific architecture with regard to Cisco's pillars. Right. So we covered data center, MAROCI, security, enterprise networking, collaboration, so everything's covered in there as well as our customer experience voyage, right. So we didn't want to leave any specific architecture out because we know that each customer is beginning their voyage from a different stage. So some partners might already be well versed in security, what they heard about Mouraki and...

...they want to learn how to add on to that specific solution. So we created a roadmap for every specific customer with every specific product. In Mine, that makes a lot of sense. Well, so, Michelle, let me ask you a little bit further than so. Let's say that somebody is doing a deep dive into Muraki. So what are some of those sub sections that where they would learn about about Moeraki? Yeah, so, actually, so, Miraki is one of my favorite portfolios within CISCO. It's just it's so robust and there's so many updates coming down the way. From Racki standpoint, it's a really exciting time to be a MORAKI partner. But with every architecture, and then specifically with Maraki, when you double flick into the sub segments of the program you know you'll start out at a ready phase and each of the phases within the program that goes ready, set, go, so the first segment there is the ready phase and that's where you learn all of the One oh one product information. So this is where you'll learn about just overall portfolio, the different products at a very high level. It'll talk about the...

...management dashboard, which is just incredible. And then when you move into the next segment, the set segment, that's where you get more into that two oh one phase. You'll learn a little deeper into the portfolios. You'll talk about maybe Iot or specific verticals and how it all plays together. And then in the three Oh one, that is the the three Oh one phases, more of the go. These are for more of the accelerated miroaki partners. That's where they'll be learning paths around. You know how it incorporates with MSP or the different solutions within the Cisco Classic Portfolio that you can manage within the Miraaki dashboard as well. So, besides the different verticals and enablement paths for each of the ready, set go phases or segments, you can also understand the different promotions available at each of the partner segments, along with how just...

...to really make sure that partners are able to accelerate their practice and accelerate their business so they're able to sell to their own customers faster with Ingram micro right. Right. Well, so, Colin, let me ask you. So this program I mean it's not necessarily a webinar where you have to tune in at a certain time. It's it's it seems like it's self paced. But are there benefits to registering instead of just kind of doing it self? Serve? Yeah, I mean Self Services is definitely great to a degree, but if you want to register for the program that's we're gonna get the most out of it. Right. Like, we realize in this day and age our customers day to day is extremely busy. So it's not going to happen if you enroll in a specific path without actually enrolling in it, right. So we don't expect partners to say, Hey, I'm going to take advantage of the rocky path and then automatically remember, without registering for a Webinar, for example, that they're supposed to hop on this Webinar at one o'clock during the middle of the afternoon. Right. So by enrolling in the specific program it's going to give you updates with regards to hey, here is a webinar that's...

...happening. That's, you know, aligned to your specific track. There you're interested in. Um, here's some white papers that we feel it could be pretty valuable to bring to your end customers and even different solutions tailored to your your specific verticals. Right. So maybe you have a customer that's focused on the feder sled market that's interested in selling Moraki. These are some of the use cases that you can be able to get through registering for the specific voyage program as opposed to just relying on the self service model. Yeah, I think we've all probably been in that of parkening back to college where we did the self self paced class and uh yeah, I was never one of those people that, as soon as they signed up, got that stuff done right away. I had to have a deadline to make me do it. Well, so, as we start to wrap up our episode, we always ask our guests the same final question, and that's where do you see technology going in the next year? Now let's, you know, purposely broad because we can talk about you know, the you know this particular space, the channel, uh, you know, kind of whatever, whatever technology you've got your...

...and girl on that. You're really kind of tracking and learning about. So, Colin, let me let me start with you. Yeah, right. So if you ask me this question a year ago, I probably say that we'd be looking at more almost all remote based work right now right. But as we start seeing more businesses going back to the office a little bit, we're obviously focused more on hybrid work. So that's a little bit of a realization over the past year that not everything is going to be specifically remote. There is still a need for hybrid type work environment. So it's good that Cisco's kind of ahead of the game with that specific objective because there's a lot of different programs and promotions tailored to hybrid work. So I would say Cisco definitely persist in the most position themselves. Well, Um, for that part. Yeah, Soll. How about you? So for me, I mean what's really exciting, and I might sound a little weird for saying but anything in terms of IOT automation and really anything in the realm of AI or machine learning is super cool to me and it's definitely something I'm keeping my pulse on for the next year for sure, because all of the innovation that's coming out.

It's really exciting and it's really just taking things to the next level. Yeah, I guess what within the AI and the machine learning? What have you been reading about? Well, from a Mieraki standpoint, and mean I told you Miraki was my favorite earlier, but just understanding what they can do with the sensors, the sensors in terms of, you know, just making sure that data centers are protected or making sure that different areas are are cooled properly. But then even when we're talking about just the agricultural industry and looking at the different types of sensors that are put in the soil so that farmers know that when plants in, all of the crops need to be watered or if it's not getting enough, it's getting too much. I think all of that's just super cool. That is never around before. It's making life so much easier. Um, it's just a'm more efficient for people and I think that's that is very cool. Well. So, Colin, how can listeners find out more about what we talked about today? Yeah, right, so...

...simplicity is the name of the game. You're right. So I'll keep it very simple. GO TO PARTNER VOYAGE DOT COM. It's going to have every single piece of collateral and you can enroll on that specific road map at any time. Well, Michelle and Colin, I really appreciate your time and your insight today.
